Hoosiers hit with flu before Virginia game

Now I'm not making any excuses for our poor performance against Virginia but I feel like everybody has the right to know that many hoosier players had the flu last week leading up to the game. Most of the players with the flu were on defense and some of the important players hit with the flu bug were Nick Polk, Austin Thomas, and Matt Mayberry. I know many people fill figure this is just an excuse for the poor performance you should know that a handful of players did sit out practice multiple days last week because of it. I will post any updates that I learn about this issue leading up to the game against Illinois.

*Just found out that Greg Middleton and Deonte Mack were also added to the list of people hit with the flu. Matt Mayberry said last Tuesday and Wednesday he was pretty sick but is feeling better today.
