Next week's game against Iowa will be a noon start on ESPN. Iowa is 8-0 for the first time in school history. Although you wouldn't think so, Iowa has one of the worst offenses in the Big Ten. The Hawkeyes ranked 10th in total offense (342.1 yards) and are tied for eighth with Indiana in points (23.6). Four of the Hawkeyes' victories have been by four points or fewer. So why is Iowa undefeated? The answer is because of the defense. The Hawkeyes are third in the conference in total defense, allowing 296.5 yards per game. Iowa's pass defense is ranked 17th in the nation, giving up 174.2 yards per game. This will be a tough game for the hoosiers but every week is still an opportunity to turn things around.
***Iowa has also proven to be at its best when the game matters most. The Hawkeyes have trailed in seven of their eight games this season, only to dominate all of their foes in the second halves of games on their way to an 8-0 record.
