Hoosiers Collapse 2 Straight Weeks
Another rough Saturday for the hoosier faithful. The Hoosiers played an incredible 3 quarters before completely collapsing to the Hawkeyes. Personally, I think the hoosiers should've won by 2-3 scores. I couldn't believe some of the calls by the officials. I think they screwed up the first three challenges and missed some blatantly obvious calls. Donnell Jones getting called for his hit on the sideline which looked completely clean to me. Ben Chappell throws an INT when Matt Earnest got smacked when he was running his route. The defense played a hell of a 3rd quarter getting 4 INT's. A complete 4th quarter meltdown then occurred. Personally I think it must be very difficult to line up and play each down knowing that whatever happens you could be getting a horrible call against you. It still doesn't explain the 4th quarter meltdown but through the first 3 quarters it didn't seem like the officials wanted to hoosiers to win. The offense made some great plays early on and so did the defense. It was nice to see Coach Lynch fired up on the sidelines when things went our way and went the other way. I will post more tomorrow when the final stats come out.
