Good Article on DB Commit Drew Hardin

Good article from Jody Demling of the Courier Journal:

One of the Division I signees in the state of Kentucky didn't get as much attention during his high school career as some of the other Bluegrass prospects. But now Ballard High School defensive back Drew Hardin is ready to prove those naysayers wrong. The 6-foot, 192-pound Hardin runs a 4.51 40-yard dash and didn't become a household name across the state until his senior season. Now, Hardin is a member of the Indiana University recruiting class."I just kept working hard and improving each year," Hardin said. "I felt like a lot of schools just kind of took me for granted, but Indiana was there for me."Hardin, who is a starter for the Ballard basketball team, was named to the second-team All-State team as a senior for the Bruins. When he arrives in Bloomington, Hardin said Indiana coach Bill Lynch told him there's a chance he can compete for playing time as a freshman."What coach Lynch told me is that he will play freshmen," Hardin said. "He didn't say any names in particular but I want to have a good summer camp and see what happens."They need some younger players to step up and defensive back is a need."
