Let's get a discussion going
As of today, how many wins do you think the Hoosiers will get next season? Who do you think we will beat? Which games will be toss ups? Any predictions about anything regarding the team? Will Doss get over 1,000 yds receiving? Anything you want to comment about, feel free.

I'm thinking/ hoping 8 wins.
ReplyDelete4-0 non-conference. If we don't win all of those games, the season takes on a whole different tone.
We take revenge on Michigan. Their defense is going to be awful, but will have an explosive offense. I think IU's offense is slightly better, and the IU Defense is considerably better, meaning that IU wins the field position battle, and the game.
Lose to Ohio State. They're just good.
We beat Illinois, and Ron Zook is fired immediately. It'll be tough to get a win on the road, but it's a big game for us. They've got a lot of instability at QB.
We split Northwestern, Iowa, Wisconsin, and Purdue. I think we get two of them (most likely NW and Iowa) and get beat by a couple.
As much as I want to see us beat Penn State in Washington, I think that's going to be hard to do. We drop this one.
So, I think we go 8-4 and go to a warm weather bowl game.
I think that Nick Turner's going to be Freshman All-America. Damon Sims is going to start as well, and is going to play really well at that spot.
Doss is easily going to beat 1000 yards receiving. Duwyce Wilson's going to be really tough as well, and Belcher needs to become a Red Zone threat for us to succeed.
If Darius Willis is healthy, he's All Big-Ten. However, I'm not sure that he can stay healthy, and I think that we see more of a RBBC look with him, Turner, and Burgess.
I have to agree with you on a lot of points. I think first and foremost 4-0 in nonconference is a must. We should do it but if we don't the season will take a completely different turn.
ReplyDeleteNow for the conference schedule. I think we take Michigan at home for the revenge game. Their offense will be improved but their defense is going to have a hard time stopping us. They also lose Brandon Graham and Donavon Warren on the defensive side of the ball.
I don't think Illinois is going to be that good. They had a rough year last season and lose Juice, Benn and others which will probably have a big effect on that offense. I would also like to see us split between Northwestern, Iowa, Wisconsin, and Purdue. I think though Northwestern and Purdue will probably be the best bet. Iowa is still going to be very good next season. Purdue loses all 4 starters in their secondary, Joey Eliott and have 20 injuries so far this spring. RB Ralph Bolden's recent injury might make him miss some time next season which would be a huge blow.
I think we have the potential to go 8-4, I am usually always slightly optimistic and am slightly off so I am going to say 7-5 with the potential to take another game or so.
I think it is critical that we get back to a bowl game this season.
