Scouting Western Michigan Part 1

Week one is over and it's time to look ahead to our match up against Western Michigan. This is my first installment of scouting Western Michigan.
Week 1: Western Michigan 7 Michigan 31

Scouting report- It was a rough opener for the Bronco's with there trip to the "Big House". Many different pre-season rankings had Tim Hiller listed in the top 5 for top college QB's. Scout's love his size (6'5 234lbs), his quick release and is projected to be a 3rd round pick in next year's NFL draft. Hiller struggled against UM's defense throwing for 259 yards, 1 TD and 3 INT's. That touchdown pass was a 73 yard touchdown pass to receiver Juan Nunez. Juan Nunez finished the game with 7 catches for 151 yards while losing a fumble. Other than that big play Hiller didn't look as impressive as his 2008 form. The Bronco's also struggled in the running game. Brandon West led the attack finishing with 41 yards on the ground with the longest run being 9 yards.

The Bronco defense failed to register a sack and had a very hard time defending the pass. True freshman Tate Forcier completed 13-20 passes for 179 yards and 3 touchdown passes. Those three touchdown passes and Denard Robinson's touchdown run all came in the first half.

Western Michigan returns 7 starters on offense and only 4 on defense.
