Hoosiers Hyped for Bucket Game

Like Bryan Payton said “You like to think that you play hard every week and you prepare hard every week, but this one is double everything else.” This bucket game is more than just a game. A win may only count for a win just like any other game but it also gives you 1 year worth of bragging rights in the state. With Coach Lynch putting an emphasis on recruiting in our own back yard this game can be a good selling point for in-state recruits. This game has created legends such as Austin Starr. He was always a good kicker for the hoosiers but now he will always be remembered for his incredible kick that propelled the hoosiers the insight bowl. This week it seems like every time I log onto facebook and a football player has updated their status, it has something to do with how focused their are to take on the boilers and how hard they want to play to end their hoosier career on a high note. Coach Lynch emphasised that not only is it important for the seniors to end with a victory but also for the current players to take some momentum into the off season. This means that when they are doing their off season weight lifting and conditioning they've got an extra bounce in their step because we went out by beating the boilers. Fred Glass has expanded the student section to 15,000 for the game and hopefully everybody can come out and pack the rock and we can finish the season with a big victory and bring the bucket back to where it belongs.
